EINZELTÄTER TEIL 3: HANAU

2023 | 86 min | 4K | ZDF / CORSO FILM

The racist attack on 19.02.2020 has changed Hanau. Especially the district of Kesselstadt. People with little money live here, people of different origins. Six of the nine fatalities died here. After the attack, relatives, parents, siblings and friends of those who were murdered stick together and try to deal with the consequences of the attack. They organize themselves politically, fight for complete clarification of the crime and against racism. And they demand consequences for the authorities who they feel have let them down. This creates a new communal "we" feeling among the people of Kesselstadt, who still have to live in the immediate vicinity of the perpetrator's father.

The film is part of the trilogy “EINZELTÄTER”, which is dedicated to people who lost relatives in the right-wing extremist attacks in Munich in 2016, Halle in 2019 and Hanau in 2020.
